The Bear Course stretches to 6,825 yards from the back tees and plays to a par 71, with a course rating and slope of 71.6/122. The Bear was designed as a championship length inland “links-style” course and features rolling fairways, strategic bunkering, and well-conditioned greens. Rounds on the Bear Course should be completed in about 4 hours.

Flight A top 3

The results of the golf tournament are as follows: Rusty “The Golden Boy” Silverman got first place with a net score of 69, while Matt Brogen finished second and tied with Rusty at 69 in a scorecard playoff. Tom Anderson and Larry Burton both tied at 72 nets, with Tom securing the third position and Larry receiving an Atta Boy in a scorecard playoff.


Flight B top 3

The winner of the B Flight tournament was Gordon “Dean of VGA” Lukert , also known as “Da Man”, who finished first with a score of 69 net. Jim Foster came in second with a score of 72 net, and Fred Baldwin finished third with a score of 74 net.

Lloyd Snively 1st @ 71 net, Doug Walsch 2nd @ 76 net, and Tom Hebert 3rd @ 77 net. Fred Baldwin scored the Atta Boy at 80 net.

This 18-hole course provides an excellent round of golf for every skill level at an affordable price. This well-maintained course has been a favorite to Arizona golfers and is consistently ranked as one of the area’s top daily fee courses.

Dave Dean 1st place @ 68 net, Robert Froehlich 2nd @ 69, and Jim Cox 3rd at 70 net. Tom Anderson and Elmer Schmidt shared the Atta Boy at 71 net each.


Flight B top 3

The Dean of VGA Gordon Lukert 91 plus years shoots 89 net for a 65 net best round on the VGA circuit today and 1st place. I hate it but he did it great work, Gordon. 2nd place went to my cart partner Cathy Harvey @ 69 net if you hadn’t missed all those short putts you would have won it. Good job though. Fred Baldwin was third at 69 and Doug Walsh brought home the Atta Boy @ 70 net.
