The San Marcos Golf Course boasts a recent multi-million dollar renovation and now includes a brand new state-of-the-art irrigation system that produces year-round premium playing condition, expanded lakes, new tee boxes, reconstructed bunkers with new sand, and green enlargements on a handful of holes. The result is a strategically-diverse and visually stunning layout that makes for an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all playing abilities.

VGA Big Dog crowns the champions of today’s event. Another scorching day and boy, did those tough Dogs really give it their all! In a stunning display of skill and finesse, Dave Dean emerged victorious with a remarkable net score of 71. Bravo, Dave, you truly unleashed your inner Big Dog! Coming in hot on his heels was Steve Richter, securing a well-deserved 2nd place with a net score of 72 – so close yet so far away! Tom Anderson and Dan Zukowski had a dogfight of their own, both achieving a net score of 75. Woof! However, it was Tom who fetched 3rd place money while Dan was awarded the Atta Boy title in a thrilling scorecard playoff. This paw-some competition had us on the edge of our seats till the very end!

This golf resort was established in the 1920s, before golf courses were built in housing developments. The Wigwam’s three 18-hole championship courses, including two designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., offer a unique and diverse golf experience. Canals, streams, and lakes flow through the courses, with shadows cast by parkland trees. The resort also features a variety of golf packages and the Warren Schutte Player’s Academy.
